E3 2008

any of you guys catch the Microsoft presentation today?? to me, it felt like Microsoft was trying real hard to come out with new games/features (not that i am complaining)......i guess they are feeling the heat with the PS3. it just really seemed like they did alot more stuff this year than years past......a number of xbox 360 exclusives (Final Fantasy XIII anyone??), NETFLIX to come out on XBL (automatically doubling Microsoft's current movie library.....according to one MS executive), a completely revamped XBL system featuring "avatars" (ala Nintendo Wii), and more XBLA games to come out this year. i am personally looking forward to the new-age Galaga that they featured. i didnt see that Xbox 360-Wii like controller that everyone is talking about though.........unless i missed that portion of the presentation. i gotta admit though........although the "avatar" theme is kinda gay, i really liked the interactivity that the new system will feature based on what the MS guys were saying.

i gotta say....i might be switching to netflix...the on demand feature is nice! FF will be nice if its coop oo

the fucking ps3 presentation better be good because i am seriously thinking of moving back to the xbox.... bitches... sony couldn't freaking persuade square to stay exclusive... with the FF title.. bastards!!!!!!!!!

yeh man........i am looking forward to what Sony and Nintendo will have to say tomorrow. i mean, we all know that this will be a big year for the PS3 in terms of games.........but i am much more curious to hear the PSP news. that, plus i wanna hear what Nintendo has planned for the DS Lite this year. i even heard a rumor that they are gonna come out with an even more slimmed down DS Lite that is in the sub-$100 range............we'll see tomorrow if this is BS or actually true. i have to say though, i was pretty impressed with Microsoft's presentation. If Sony and Nintendo follow the pace set by Microsoft, then we should be hearing some big news out of them tomorrow.

by the way Pritong........i dont think Final Fantasy XIII (it is 13 right??) is exclusive to the 360. if you watch the presentation, i couldve sworn the Square Enix president dude said that it will exclusively be on the 360. but, if you read gaming sites....they are saying that FF will not be an xbox 360 exclusive and will be released simultaneously with the PS3. i dont know........i'm a bit confused myself. lemme know if you hear otherwise. i'm actually not even a FF fan.........i did play Final Fantasy Tactics on the PSP, but i am clueless as to the story behind the whole FF series.

now i am reading that FF will launch exclusively on the 360 in North America and Europe.....but will be on both platforms in Japan?!?!?!?!?!?! who knows, i dont know who is accurate and who isnt.........ahh whatever, either way is fine

Nice TT........encourage the "get rid of ur ps3" shenanigans. i shouldnt talk.....i havent touched my xbox in weeks. as far as my ps3.....i use it everyday, but just to surf the web off my psp.

ha ha ha... they have the PS3 White and PS3 Silver versions available in the PI for about $550... he he he... 40 Gb...

ff13 is exclusive to sony in Japan but here in north america it's coming out on the ps3 and 360... listening to the sony presentation am let down.. all they have to show is look you can dl movies to ur ps3.. big whoop.. and whole lot of psp stuff which is kewl if u own one.. whatever so far sony's presentation blows..

presentation, shmresentation... all that is just hype... everybody knows sony never likes to announce anything... it's all a microsoft ploy since they know they're losing the console wars pretty soon if not already...

besides, everyone knows that sony's still got the kick ass system in terms of hardware... i wouldn't worry about it...

yeah i gots to agree with you Pritong. i wasnt extremely impressed with Sony's presentation. it wasnt as bad as Nintendo's, but it wasnt as good as Microsofts. dude, Nintendo's presentation was BORING!!!!!! not only was it boring.....but it was pretty painful to watch. (i mean really.....who the hell wants to watch a Nintendo executive in a suit try to snowboard on that Wii fit board thing-a-ma-jig!!) i fastforwarded through most of it cus it was all about software. as far as Sony........i could definitely see myself downloading some movies onto my psp before my trip next week. Tretton said that they are coming out with another PSP bundle this fall, but its directed towards the younger crowd.....some Ratchet and Clank crap (and its not even a new color......its just a silver). thats aight though, i gots my eyes on that Madden PSP pack coming in August. so, in short, the only thing that i thought was interesting of the Sony presentation was the downloadable movie content, and thats only because i could transfer it to my psp.

by the way welcome back Buk's. so......white and silver ps3's in the PI huh???? any different color psp's there by any chance???????

nah man......i didnt notice the new "trophy" system. but then again.....i guess i actually need a PS3 game (of which i dont have at this time) to stick in for me to see the new trophy system.

by the way, calypso casino is still the isht!!! ha ha ha... although random spawn kills the fun of it sometimes... but according to monk, there's a setting that you can turn on now that sets the spawn at the normal spawn all the time... he he he...

also, i am now a colonel (one level away from elite)... hee hee... there's a new elite ranking system as well now. gold elite and you get a number attached to it to denote how many times you've made elite over and over. craziness... i was playing with some guy last night who was an elite 28 times over...!!!
