"Alpha-Bravo, we've got two men down!!" damn dude, first its Boyet with the laser disc issues. then its mark with the blu ray player problems. now, its boyet with the laser disc issues.......AGAIN!!! who's next, Kevin?....me? it'll come to a point where you guys will be forced to run it like me...... 2 PS3's in the house. pls. dont get me wrong........i'm not trying to brag or anything like that. i just say that so if one PS3 fails, you can turn to your backup PS3 without losing any playtime!!!

NOW ALL MY GAMES MOVIES AND BLU-RAY DISKS WORK AND MY WIFI WORKS AGAIN. IT WORKED OR ME AN I HOPE IT WORKS FOR YOU! NOTE YOU MUST USE A FLASH DRIVE OR CD IN ORDER TO INSTALL IT AGAIN!

yeah...i think im gonna give the fix another try sometime...but as for getting a new ps3, i dont think itll be happening anytime soon...im looking at a tablet over the next year. i just need to decide which one hehe.

dude, i dont even think for a second that Boyet is gonna pull the curtain on gaming just yet. i think he'll eventually come to his senses and get a new PS3 over getting a tablet computer. i mean seriously, how many computers does Boyet have.........3? 4? now i ask you how many PS3's does he have?.............ZERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (yeah, i know he has one.......but it crapped out on him.....so that counts as a zero in my book). Umm, yeah.....i've got my money on the PS3 winning out! hehehehe. Mark, just an FYI..........from what i hear, Sony offers good extended warranties as does Best Buy. actually, Best Buy offers product replacement plans which in my opinion are much better than extended warranties. if i could do it all over again, i would've gotten my PS3 slim at Best Buy. problem was, i thought the PS3 was a reliable console. now, i know that's not the case.........i just realized it too damn late!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

boyet if you need a tablet.. i got one at home.. i can build u one.. it's a 2730p.. ask t adn kenny and mark about theirs..it just doesn't have a dvd rom but maybe i can get one..

So was running last night and in one match I got the last sniper kill heheheh I took out three guys in like a sec in quarry hahahahah then we moved into highrise we were losing most of the game the I had got the last kill again so I moved up and by the way one man army is bad ass I was in high rise and I actually ran out of bullets and I completely forgot I had one man army and I was oh yeh hahhah

So I got the last shotgun so I had to equip to my sniper mode so wanted to play one more game so I ended up joining a game in scrapyard my team was losing and when i came in I jus started So badly so I was like freak thiS... ended up winning the match even though I was 19 & 18 I was top kills hehehehheh brought back from losing the game hehehehehe I got the title most feared hahahhaj

this is kewl am on my iPhone heheheh oh btw iPhone is coming to tmobile & verizon damn shoulda stayed with tmobile oh well

nice. dont worry im not gonna go off the deep end and make countless posts of the 'black pos' im just saying that i cant justify buying a new ps3 right now. gaming was always just a bonus, we were primarily using the ps3 to watch videos and share pics which fortunately/unfortunately it still does fine. if my ps3 were to fail at streaming/playing videos, then thats a different story.

right now though ive really only been planning to buy a tablet or a larger e-book reader. it may be awhile till i purchase one, but these are some of the things that i would buy before a new ps3:

so, right now i will probably only get a new ps3 if mine breaks down completely (or stops playing all types of discs), if i get enough sony points to get another one, or if i win the lottery hehe.

im still going to try and fix my current ps3..im just not in too much of a rush now seeing as it only bought me 1 week of gaming last time.

russ - i actually trashed a couple of those pcs (they were over 10 years old now) so im running a macbook, a laptop pc, and a desktop...gaming-wise i still have the ps3 for downloaded games, the psp slim, my n64 , and my ipod touch (apple says its a gaming device...hehe)

stupid update... tried the update from mass storage device last night. didn't work. the ps3 didn't recognize the flash card i was using and never saw the update. tried switching from FAT32 to exFAT to FAT. no dice... fuckers...

so now i gotta really figure out how to get a new PS3. either that or a new car. ha ha ha...

um boyet.. my dad and mom has one.. kenny has one.. i have one.. it's an extra.. no worries though

so it seems that a lot of people have been experiencing the "freeze" on the PS3. blog talks about the firmware being the main culprit. i was thinking of doing a full system restore (reformat the hard drive) as my last resort. i would only do it if i saved all my games off already on another harddrive. don't feel like losing all my accomplishments already.

kinda sux coz you know sony's not gonna admit it was their fault that they're killing all the PS3's out there with a firmware upgrade. but in any case, the bulk of issues started happening shortly after system upgrade 3.10 (present firmware version is 3.15).

manok - will need to borrow your harddrive sometime to save off my profile and then do a hard drive reformat. that will be my last attempt to fix whatever sony broke...

aight.. i gotta partition one of my hard drives to a fat32.. how big is ur save files...

boj - hopefully it works for you. i actually did the full restore. i have a backup on an external hard drive. i tried playing mw2 after the reformat so the ps3 was empty and it still didnt work. since it wasnt working anyway i then restored from my backup. the only thing that helped me was opening it up and cleaning the lens.

ender - that sux!!! and if it is the firmware upgrade that caused these drives to spin faster therefore shortening their lifespan, sony better pony up the repair bill or get everyone new ps3's. but you know that ain't gonna happen.

Boyet, if you get stuck playing off your PSP in the near future. i've played the Metal Gear "Peacewalker" game on the PSP. i was pretty impressed with it! that, and SOCOM for the PSP are coming out pretty soon. the new SOCOM game is all about co-op play online. its been quite a while since i bought a PSP game.......but i've never given up on the little game console. right now i'd just rather use my (gaming) financial resources towards the PS3 rather than the PSP. but like i said, i'll never trade in my PSP.....(unless there is an even newer PSP console). didnt upgrade to the PSP Go though. wasnt worth it for me, plus it was only $50 cheaper than a PS3! WTF???
